More professional handling of traffic and leadership by MMDA needed!

It is more fun criticizing

From Business World - cabinet cluster opens trade lanes

Repost from MB - More traffic chaos loom

Some hearsays:   these huge and monstrous traffic jams did not happen in BFs time.   He had the guts and leadership to keep the egos of many of MM chiefs in check.  That the MM had their own truck ban, and that this resulted in congestion of the pier, and the single lane truck policy that coincided with traffic rerouting of Caloocan should not have happened.

Kasi nga may MMDA - may Metro Authority.   With MMDA reporting to the Office Of  the President, it should have strong power and clout to bang the heads of LGU chief executives to think and plan for the greater good.

Now we even needed a cabinet cluster (co chaired by fmr Usec Ernie Ordonez)to have the last mile trade route. Dapat MMDA na lang ang nag decide na.   Sayang ang MMDA!

At dapat naman, ang mga Mayor Presidentiables, they should keep their egos and powers in check.  They make not make it all in 2016 for causing all these difficulties.

Official statement of PPA on port congestion _ Can the explanation end the traffic woes at MM?

Sign of booming economy?  Will BOC or MICT allow the cargoes to be diverted to Subic or Batangas? (As what Rep Gatchalian has proposed?) They may disagree because it means loss of revenue...
